Dr. Bbosa Sam Bagenda Addresses Reports of Evelyn Namulondo Relocating Abroad and Quitting Ebonies

Date:

Ugandan actor, director, producer, and musician Sam Bagenda, commonly known as Dr. Bbosa, has addressed allegations that Evelyn Namulondo quit the Ebonies group.

For the past few months, rumours have been circulating suggesting that Evelyne Namulondo had abandoned the group and run abroad, where she married shortly after.

While addressing the press, Dr. Bosa denied the allegations, insisting that Namulondo had not yet communicated her departure. He insisted that they were still in communication and she was still handling some work for them.

Namulondo has been in the UK for the past two months, and before she traveled, Dr. Bosa revealed that she had been cast in their upcoming drama and had acted in all the parts she had been assigned, indicating that she was still part of them.

“We are not aware of anything like that. We talk to her, and we know she is still abroad because she keeps going back and forth. We are not aware of any reports that she has abandoned the group, as she has not officially communicated it. This is all news to me. It is just two months now, and it is not a lot. She was our BR and used to get us TV talks. We talk to him, and we still send her our posters for her to post in the media,” he said.

Speaking about members who had left the group, Dr. Bosa revealed that they created a foundation which later became a family. This gave space for those who felt they had matured to move on to their next ventures, while also keeping in touch because it created a safe space for growth.

“We keep creating other people, and when they feel they have grown enough, they move on. But they still stand as part of the group. For example, whenever Nakawunde comes back to Uganda, she is always with us. We are always nurturing new talent every time, and we will also grow up and leave those in our footsteps,” he said.
