Songwriter turned musician Dokta Brain is contemplating quitting music in the near future, describing it as slavery.
Despite putting up some of the chart-topping bangers, Dokta Brain, real name Nkwanga Geoffrey, revealed that it wasn’t in his future plans to stay on stage forever. At one point in his career, he will have to rest and focus on his other skills.
“At one point, I may stop singing because I see it as slavery. It is slavery: you need to do it for some time, then rest. If you master the game, you can take big steps. If it is really beneficial to an extent that you cannot quit, then you can learn something from it and be the one giving the end service,” he said.
Dokta Brain began his songwriting career more than a decade ago, writing for some of the industry’s biggest names.
While doing music personally feels like a chore, he appreciates his pen skills, saying it is something he will do forever. He explained that he loves songwriting and that he does it effortlessly out of love.

“I cannot die on stage personally. But I will never abandon the pen because I keep writing even when I do not want to. If I had decided to just write music and not sing, I would be the fattest person in the room. I do the writing effortlessly, but singing takes away my weight because it stresses me a bit,” he said.
