A DNA test has revealed that only four of the nine children previously claimed as biological offspring of the late Muhammad Ssegirinya are actually his. The other five, including the youngest, were found not to be biologically related to the former legislator.

The findings were disclosed by Ssegirinya’s former aide, Aalex Lusswa Luwemba, who criticized some of the claimants for showing interest in the deceased’s estate even before his burial. He suggested that some of the paternity claims were driven by inheritance motives.
Following Ssegirinya’s passing without a will, a legal process has begun to establish rightful heirs. Lawyer and MP Medad Ssegona is handling the matter, aiming to secure letters of administration for the four verified children.
This case highlights the growing complexities surrounding inheritance disputes, especially in high-profile deaths where no formal succession plans are in place.
