Demand Good Music, Not My Nyash: Winnie Nwagi to Critics

Date:

Swangz Avenue singer Winnie Nwagi has responded to fans who are bothered by her weight loss, urging them to focus more on her music than on her physical appearance.

Nwagi has long appealed to music lovers not only through her sound but also her striking stage presence. However, since embarking on a visible weight-loss journey, the singer has faced growing scrutiny from some fans, with critics focusing on changes to her physique, particularly the noticeable reduction in her hips and lower body.

During her performance at the recent episode of Shades Of Kampala, Winnie Nwagi, while answering questions from fans, addressed the issue that she said was bothering her.

She revealed that pressure from fans had driven some of her colleagues to expose their bodies to please the crowds.

Winnie Nwagi encouraged music lovers to always demand good music from her, since it was her job, and to focus less on her physical appearance.

When I’m giving you good music, and you are demanding nyash, that is where we are confused, she said.
