Dax Vibez Blasts Eddy Kenzo Over Political Discrimination in Federation Funds

Date:

Musician Dax Vibez, real name Ivan Bugembe Sentamu, has condemned Eddy Kenzo for refusing to provide financial aid to fellow artists who support the opposition.

During an interview with BBS TV, Dax Vibez revealed that the funds came from the government, and Eddy Kenzo had no right to withhold them from anyone who needed them. He termed Kenzo as an uninformed and segregated artist based on their political views instead of uniting them as a federation.

“He is misinformed because he doesn’t know where that money comes from. The money given to the federation is taxpayers’ money, including those who support or don’t support NUP.

Services are not supposed to discriminate; they should benefit all musicians, not just those who support NRM. Perhaps he lacks the education or authority to understand that, as president of the artists’ federation, he must serve everyone, regardless of their support. I think he is overwhelmed with power and doesn’t know how to handle it,” he said.

Eddy Kenzo recently appeared in an interview confessing that the money that was given to the Uganda National Musicians Federation was only meant for the musicians under the federation who support NRM. He revealed that the government had given them that money, and in return, they would show their support as a sign of appreciation.

Kenzo further emphasized that individuals who had defected to the opposition, such as Pallaso, who joined the NUP, would not receive any financial aid, as they had become opponents of the ruling party.

The statement sparked controversy, prompting several artists to share their views on the matter, with Dax being the most recent.
