Dagy Nyce Clears Air on Carol Nantongo Dating Talk, Explains Why He Missed Her Kukyala Ceremony

Date:

Media personality and events host, Dagy Nyce, real name Douglas Isubikalu Ngobi, has addressed the longstanding rumor that he was once in a relationship with musician Carol Nantongo.

Dagy Nyce noted during a TV interview that it was just a rumour that should be treated with the contempt it deserves. He emphasized that he was glad she was in a happy relationship and congratulated her on her recent Kukyala ceremony.

While the function was filled with different notable figures from the entertainment industry, Dagy Nyce, who was once her close friend, didn’t appear. He explained that he had travelled upcountry for work and couldn’t make it.

I was not around; I was upcountry, that’s why you didn’t see me there. I had gone for work; maybe they invited me, but I wasn’t around, he insisted.

Dagy Nyce was once a regular visitor to UNMF’s Jam Sessions at Allure Suites, and reports had it that he frequented the sessions to chill and meet up with Carol. He, however, denied the allegations, noting that his visits were strictly for business reasons, citing ties in the music industry.

Federation is for musicians, and that is my line of work. My calling and checking on her aren’t bad things because I do that to other people, too. I’m a cousin to the industry, and I relate with many musicians, he said.

Carol, in one of her past interviews, stressed that their relationship was strictly on a friendship level and nothing romantic.
