Singer D Star, widely known as Hoozamba, accuses fellow singer and songwriter Mudra D Viral of pocketing over Ugx 140M from their remix.
In 2024, D Star broke the internet with his hit single Hoozambe, a song that introduced him to the East African music circles.
Shortly after, the singer joined forces with Mudra D Viral, dropping the remix, a move that gave the song more momentum and attention.
Shared via several streaming platforms, the song not only attracted impressive views but also generated significant earnings from streams, with singer and songwriter Kalifah Aganaga claiming it generated over Ugx 140M from YouTube.
Reacting to Kalifah’s video, D Star expressed his disappointment, claiming that he has never earned a single penny, despite Mudra earning such amounts from his song.
