acob Yermalitski, the new CTO of Cross Switch, plans to strengthen the company’s platform and deliver secure, reliable payment solutions for global partners and merchants.

Cross Switch, a payment technology company powering digital transactions across emerging markets, announced the promotion of Jacob Yermalitski to chief technology officer. A co-founder of the company, Yermalitski has helped shape Cross Switch’s technology strategy since its onset, most recently serving as director of engineering.

Yermalitski assumes the CTO role from Mike Kenrich, who continues in the business as chief information officer. As a founder of Cross Switch, Kenrich has been central to building the company’s technology foundation, engineering team and leadership structure, and remains actively involved in supporting its ongoing growth.

In his new role, Yermalitski will lead the company’s technology vision and innovation agenda, further strengthening Cross Switch’s scalable, API-driven payment orchestration solution that connects merchants, payment partners and service providers to banks, mobile wallets and local payment rails across Africa, Latin America and other high-growth regions.

Tim Davis, group CEO of Cross Switch, welcomed the promotion.

“Jacob has been central to Cross Switch’s journey from day one,” Davis said. “His technical leadership, deep understanding of payments infrastructure and commitment to building resilient, scalable technology make him the natural choice for CTO. As we continue expanding across emerging markets, his vision will be key to delivering secure, seamless payment solutions for our partners and customers.”

Yermalitski brings extensive experience across software engineering leadership, quality assurance and fintech infrastructure. Prior to co-founding Cross Switch, he held senior roles in software QA and QE management, building foundations in system reliability, performance and product scalability.

“Stepping into the CTO role is a key responsibility I take seriously,” Yermalitski said. “I’m incredibly proud of what our team has achieved so far. As we move forward, my focus will be on strengthening our platform, scaling innovation across emerging markets and continuing to deliver secure, reliable payment solutions that make a real difference for our partners and customers.”

Cross Switch continues to advance its mission to simplify, scale and secure digital payments, helping businesses connect to local and global payment ecosystems through a single integration while supporting growth across some of the world’s most dynamic markets.
