Comedian Shawa Says Age Is Just a Number as He Confesses Love for Doreen Nasasira

Date:

Comedian Shawa, of the comedy duo Sammy and Shawa, has opened up about his crush on radio personality Nasasira Doreen, despite being younger than her.

The 24-year-old Shawa expressed his interest in Doreen, who is over 30, emphasizing that age has nothing to do with his feelings for her.

Speaking in a TV interview, Shawa, real name Ssali Shaufaruh, explained that many thriving relationships were built on the love partners have for each other, not on their age differences.

“Even if she is 40 years old, I love her. Age is just a number. Many people have dated their partners, and it is not about age. I don’t care how old she is,” he said.

Shawa surprised Doreen with gifts she unboxed live on camera on Valentine’s Day. They included ladies’ underwear that is generally considered intimate and not appropriate to be put on display.

As a result, Shawa received significant backlash, with users claiming he was disrespecting and degrading Doreen in public.

Defending his actions, Shawa insisted he was trying to express his feelings, noting he had no intention of disrespecting Doreen, as critics suggest.

“Relationships nowadays have evolved. We do wild things to spice up the relationships and please our partners. It was a love gift, and I wanted to show that I was wild and aggressive in love,” he said.
