Chosen Becky and Abdul Ssekajja Celebrate Civil Wedding

Date:

Musician Chosen Becky, real name Rebecca Kukiriza, and her fiancée, turned husband, Ssekajja Abdul, held their civil wedding today, 16 December.

Unlike a traditional wedding, the young couple exchanged their vows before the judge in a simple civil ceremony, with a few of their family members and friends in attendance.

According to reports, the couple held their civil wedding a few weeks ago, and today they are celebrating their wedding milestone.

The couple’s civil marriage rumours were cemented during their introduction ceremony, when they appeared to be putting on their matching shiny wedding rings.

Held at Ovacado Bay Retreat along Entebbe Road, the couple’s wedding reception was graced by their social support system, including family and friends.

Chosen Becky and Abdul Ssekajja’s decision to have a civil nuptial has been attributed to their different religions and to their desire to find something that unites them.

Held a few days back, the couple’s introduction was a star-studded celebration, graced by several notable figures, including Rema Namakakula, Pastor Wilson Bugembe, Maureen Nantume, Stabua Natooro, and Jovan Luzinda, among many others.
