While little is known about Marvin’s life, information from various sources on the web indicates that it was intertwined with the elite circles of Uganda’s business and social scene.

For instance in 2018, when he held his lavish wedding ceremony, the function was attended by Kampala’s A-listers, including his close friend Rajiv Ruparelia, who passed away in May.

Rajiv contributed Shs 5 million to Marvin’s introduction ceremony, a gesture that spoke to their deep friendship and shared place in Uganda’s next generation of leaders.

Coming so soon after Rajiv’s fatal car crash, Marvin’s death underscores the fragility of life, even for those born into privilege and promise.
