BUIKWE: Police Arrests One Suspect for Breaking, Stealing from Church

Njeru Police Division has registered an offence of church breaking which occurred on the 13/07/2025 at unknown time of the night at Naminya Baptist church at Naluwerere Zone Naminya Ward Wakisi Division Njeru municipality in Buikwe District.

 

According to SP Hellen Butoto, the police spokesperson for Ssezibwa region, it’s alleged on the 13/12/07/2025 at 05:48, a report of church breaking and theft was made by Lugaju Karim aged 27 years old resident of Naminya zone, Naminya ward Wakisi Division in Buikwe district.

 

It was reported that unknown persons broke into Naminya Baptist church and stole musical instruments including speakers, Amplifier, Piano, Hump mixture, microphone and electric wires all valued at Ten million Uganda shillings.

 

The sniffer dog was introduced to the scene of crime where it started tracking and stopped at the door of one Kimuli Paul, a resident of Naminya Zone.

 

Kimuli Paul has been apprehended and is detained at CPS Njeru as inquiries are still ongoing.
