Musician and politician Bobi Wine has put an end to the constant comparisons between him and fellow artists Jose Chameleone and Bebe Cool.
Bobi Wine was out supporting his brother Dax Vibez at his rehearsals, but at the same time preparing for the ‘Ugandan Fest’ show in London, where he will be a guest performer alongside Nubian Li at Modern Park.
While speaking to BBS TV, Bobi Wine was asked to give his view about the famous ‘Big Three’ artists who are widely considered to be some of the pillars of the industry.
He emphasized that artists like Herman Basudde, Phily Lutaaya, and Paul Kafeero, among others, were better than them.
Bobi Wine further stripped the ‘Big Three’ title from his legacy, noting that his dream was to be real and not elevate himself.
“I think it is selfish to think that Ugandan music started with just us. We grew up seeing some artists who also learnt from others. I don’t look at it that way. We were once in that age of praising and elevating ourselves, but we have grown. Nothing is more powerful on this earth than staying humble because with this, you will get all the respect. Music is not limited to only those you call the big three. I do not want to be big; I want to be real, and you should call me the real one,” he said.

Bobi is one of the few artists with a huge fanbase, even when he has not performed in a long time. He revealed that music was inborn and has used every chance on the microphone to express what he is and bring out his God-given talent. He admitted that he couldn’t wait to regain his freedom in the music industry and perform on different stages.
“When I still had the chance to do music, I released music that was relatable to people, and I believe we are connected like that, and every time I get the chance, they come through and enjoy my music. The moment they take away the barriers from me, I will be back bigger than before. I have never changed,” he said.
