Big Eye Starboss Reveals Politics Exposed His Fake Friends and Hidden Jealousy

Date:

Musician Big Eye Starboss has revealed that his time as a politician exposed the other side of people whom he thought were his friends.

Big Eye revealed that when he came out and declared his candidacy for the Nansana Municipality Member of Parliament position in the upcoming 2025 Uganda’s general elections, most of the people around him showed their true colors, and he learned how jealous they are of him.

When I expressed interest in politics, I got to know people’s true colors. I saw people who have not believed in me all this time, but are chilling with me. I saw those who wanted to be with me only in success, but not in my hustle.

He added that winning the parliamentary seat would automatically mean elevating his life. In his group of friends, he noticed that some didn’t want him to go above them, so they not only brought him down but also discouraged him from chasing his dream.

He, however, thanked those who stayed behind him and supported his ambitions with the smallest of acts, like sharing his posters and rallying voters behind him.

I saw those who didn’t want me to go up out of fear that I would be better than them in some way. Because being an MP is a higher level of respect, they wanted me to stay only as an artist. Someone who likes you pushes you even with the smallest acts, like putting you on their social media status. I won’t say their names, but they were my good friends throughout. They stayed behind me and supported me.

The musician was in tight competition with news personality Zambali Bulasio Mukasa, but unfortunately missed out on the National Unity Platform (NUP) flagbearer’s ticket.
