Benti Boys Africa Claim They Were the Most Booked Artists During ‘Wanawankya’ Fame

Date:

Bentiboys Africa, the Ugandan music duo behind the hit song “Wanawankya,” asserted that they were the most booked artists during the peak of the song’s popularity. Released in 2022, “Wanawankya,” produced by Daddy Andre, marked the duo’s breakthrough into the mainstream music scene. The track became a national sensation, topping playlists and being a favorite at music venues and hangouts across the country.

During an interview with Inno Soft Ug, Bentiboys Africa confidently stated that no other artists from their era were as booked for performances as they were during the height of “Wanawankya’s” success. According to them, the song resonated with people from all corners of Uganda, including the remote areas of West Nile and Northern Uganda, and they performed nationwide.

The duo’s claim is further supported by their achievements in 2022, when they won multiple awards and were recognized as the breakthrough artists of the year. They gained widespread recognition and increased media presence, further fueling their belief that no other artists of their generation, such as Mudra, Ava Peace, Liam Voice, AnKnown, Vyroota, and Nandor Love, had more performance bookings during that period.

Bentiboys Africa, while grateful for the success of “Wanawankya,” have expressed hope of replicating such a massive hit in the future. They aim to release another song of similar magnitude and impact, hoping to maintain their prominence in the Ugandan music scene.
