After months of teasing and building anticipation, Swangz Avenue star Azawi has officially released The Lost Files EP, a seven-track project featuring highly requested songs that never made it onto her previous albums, Sankofa and African Music.
Unlike her earlier releases, The Lost Files is a curated collection of fan-favorite records pulled from Azawi’s vault, tracks that audiences have repeatedly demanded to hear.
As a lead-up to the full release, Azawi dropped two percussive singles, “Love Tekaawa” and “Njize Okwagaala,” both of which received widespread acclaim for their strong composition and signature Azawi sound. Their success set the tone for the EP, reaffirming the singer’s reputation for delivering not just music but timeless gems.
Several tracks from the project, including “Ekiri Mu Gulu,” had already gained massive traction on TikTok and YouTube following an unconventional rollout that sparked thousands of user-generated videos and heightened anticipation for the full release.
One of the standout moments on the EP is “Feel Ok,” featuring rapper Truth 256, the only collaboration on the project. The blend of Azawi’s soulful vocals and Truth 256’s lyrical depth creates a powerful fusion that anchors the body of work.
The EP also features new tracks such as:
- Make a Wish
- Fed Up
- Obuyinza
Production credits on The Lost Files include Kusseim, Bangar Boi, Nessim, and Groovy World, a lineup that has shaped the EP’s diverse and polished sound.
