Musician Anknown Prosper has opened up about the moment he almost gave up on his music dream after he was forced off the stage midway through his performance.
Looking back on his career, Anknown recalled the incident that happened in Freedom City years ago, as he was still struggling to make his music known. At one particular concert, he was given the chance to entertain the crowd, but midway through his performance, Big Eye Starboss allegedly interrupted him.
He claims fans of the crowd were thrilled to see Big Eye on stage, saying he had one of the year’s top-trending songs, ‘Indicator’.
“It didn’t turn out nice for me. It happened before I got the breakthrough, and fans didn’t know my music. The deejay wanted to throw me off, and he played the ‘Indicator’ interlude, and the crowd went crazy. I thought they had finally noticed me, but the noise wasn’t for me; Big Eye came running out,” Ankown said.
Anknown is known for releasing music that resonates with audiences. His music focuses entirely on relationships, love and heartbreaks. The lyrics that convey deep emotions are sometimes inspired by his personal experiences.
At the time of the incident, the singer revealed that fans were used to the Kidandali vibe, they didn’t appreciate what he was singing, forcing him to get off stage.

Since Anknown confessed that he stopped trying so hard to convince the people and waited for his big breakthrough in the industry, which came not long after.
“I took myself off the stage, and I felt bad about it because people didn’t understand what I was selling. Decided to give up. I told myself that if I were to sing, music would just find me anyhow because I wasn’t doing dancehall to excite the fans. The kind of music I do is not easy to break through with,” he said.
