Alex Luwemba Seeks For Forgiveness From NUP, Kyagulanyi

Date:

Alex Luswa Luwemba is currently making desperate calls to be forgiven by NUP President Bobi Wine.

Alex Luwemba earlier this year lost the NUP party ticket to Elias Nalukoola. He then went ahead to contest independently, going against Bobi Wine’s call for unity with the party candidate.

It is alleged he was influenced by Bobi Wine’s nemesis Mathias Mpuga and the family of the late Muhammad Segirinya, who believe they have a stake in the Kawempe North constituency.

Howwe, however, understands Luwemba is currently begging to be forgiven and has already sent his representatives to the President of the National Unity Platform.

“I didn’t come to attack the National Unity Platform in the election; I came to fight NRM and to protect the ballots of my party, NUP. I actually called my president, and he thanked me for the mature politics I played. I am planning to meet him, and I have reached out,” he explained.

It is also alleged Alex Luwemba is seeking to rejoin the National Unity Platform and use it as his political vehicle, as he intends to contest for the mayoral position in the 2026 general elections.
