Musician A Pass has stood his ground, emphasizing that he will never accept monetary handouts from the government.
A Pass, who recently held his maiden concert at Kampala Serena Hotel, revealed that his fans were giving him enough money to sustain himself, and he didn’t need money from the government. He noted that he would rather work and earn his money than receive it freely.
I love money, but only enjoy it if I’ve worked for it in another way. I will not eat government money. I only want money from my fans.
A Pass explained that at one point, fellow artists who were affiliated with the ruling party approached him with large sums of money, but he chose to stick to his principles.

Even when it is a considerable sum of money, I will not accept it. Because to me, it is legacy over currency. They offered me that money, and I turned it down. I cannot say the amount because people will even be surprised.
