Media personality Miles Rwamiti Apuuli has expressed desires for running for the Nakawa West member of parliament representative post in the forthcoming 2026 general elections.
The former Urban TV and NTV presenter showed his interest as he was addressing the media that he is ready to oust National Unity Platform (NUP)’s Joel Ssenyonyi from the seat. Rwamiti contested in the recently concluded 2021 general elections for the post of representing the people of Hoima West Constituency in parliament on the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) card but he lost with only 149 votes.
The loss forced him to change his desires of representing Ugandans in parliament from his home ground to Nakawa, where he lives at the moment claiming that he has more support in Nakawa than Hoima, his home area.
Rwamiti believes that voters will not consider the political party card he is to run from, but instead his capability and diligence.
