As music lovers continue to fill up Jinja City for the Nyege Nyege festival, Africa’s largest and longest party marathon, a thriving center of activities has taken over the event.
The celebration got going on Friday, with thousands of people flocking to the picturesque Jinja Golf Club. After Thursday’s modest but promising start, the festival’s distinct spirit came to life on the second day.
Seven stages, each with its own unique musical feel, bustled with activity throughout the vast festival grounds. These stages perfectly captured the spirit of Nyege Nyege, a stunning blend of international music and culture.
At the main stage, host Sheila Salta kept the momentum high, exciting the audience and introducing a dynamic lineup of performers. Their electrifying acts captivated the growing crowd, ensuring that no one was left standing still.
For those craving an otherworldly musical experience, the ‘Dark Star’ stage is delivered in spades. International acts like DJ Crusatsex from France, Asep Nayak from Indonesia, and Tanzania’s DJ Travella turned the stage into a sonic wonderland.
