The Bushenyi Resident District Commissioner (RDC) must be contemplating castrating himself after his high libido sent him into loving a Senior Three Student of Bwerenyangi Girls Secondary School, Bushenyi.
Because of his affair with the naïve girl, Robert Atuhairwe has been suspended with immediate effect and ordered to hand over office to his deputy, Mr. Kasigazi William Donanto until further notice.
Atuhairwe’s suspension from office is contained in a letter dated 15th October, 2024 and signed off by Hajji Kakande Yusuf, Secretary office of the President.
Atuhairwe’s woes started on 27th September, 2024 when his girlfriend bragged before her friends that the RDC is her lover and that he was going to be her Birthday provider. The BD was on the same day.
The friends did not buy her statement prompting the naïve girl to take her friends to the School booth from where she placed a call to the RDC and romantically called him with the students all around. The RDC responded likewise and shortly was at the school with his guards with a BD cake.
A swam of students hugged him shouting Mura Mura and this caused commotion in the school. Meanwhile, the Bishop who is also chair to the school BOD was passing by the school to his home and noticed the commotion. He took up the case.
The Bushenyi parents raised the concern to state house that it should not have been the representative of the president in the district to defile their children and demanded action.
According to Kakande’s letter, the RDC was tasked to explain himself which he did in a letter dated 10th October, 2024 to the Minister of the Presidency.
However, Kakande notes that his written explanation had so many gaps and ‘uncoordinated story which brings doubt to the mind of right thinking member of the public.”
“I am therefore constrained to allow you to continue executing your duties as RDC. For that matter, management has decided that you step aside until investigations and disciplinary procedures are concluded in any case not later than six months from now,” reads the letter seen by this publication.
